Outline of the Database
Recently the various programs of the Traditional Japanese Theatre, Noh¡¡(Noh and Kyogen), have been played throughout Japan. This database was created to record and analyze how many Noh programs (where, by who, and what programs) have been performed. This theatrical performance data is based on the event information, ¡ÈNoh of the month¡É printed in ¡ÈNogaku Times¡É (Nogaku Syorin, 1952.3-). It has been systematized to allow for search based on the date of performance, program, name of performer, place, school, name of Kogaki, type of performance, etc.
¡öWe have been granted permission to create this database from Nogaku Shorin.
